Since February 2013 French Polynesia’s Ministry of Health has documented 437 cases of Dengue Fever in Tahiti, 158 cases in Moorea, 20 cases in Bora Bora and 33 cases in Atoll Rangiroa.

Travellers are advised to practice day time insect precautions.  To learn more about Dengue fever and what you can do to protect yourself from dengue as well as other illnesses, visit a travel clinic a recommended 4-6 weeks prior to departure.  There is no vaccine to protect against Dengue Fever.
