Extensively Drug-Resistant Typhoid – Pakistan

There is an extensively drug-resistant strain of Typhoid fever in Pakistan. Currently, the Pakistan federal government is trying to battle the outbreak. Typhoid fever is caused by a bacteria that is most commonly acquired through eating contaminated food and or water. Typhoid vaccine can be used as a preventative.
