Burma – Travel Alert

On March 24, 2011, a magnitude-6.8 earthquake occurred in eastern Burma, near the Lao and Thai borders. Casualties have been reported. Damage to buildings and roads has been reported in Shan State. Travelers should avoid affected areas and monitor the situation through local and/or international media.
