According to press reports, 9 suspected human cases of yellow fever have been reported in the established yellow fever zone of Baringo District, Rift Valley, since April 2011. Reported cases have been restricted to this area, and initial laboratory testing has been negative; further confirmatory testing is pending. Shoreland continues to recommend vaccination for all travelers over age 9 months to the provinces of Rift Valley.
