Military Action: Malaysia

Since the beginning of March 2013, there have been violent incidents and casualities due to security operations targeting a Filipino group occupying a village in Sabah State.  There have been increased naval patrols of coastal waters and security forces.

Travellers are advised to avoid affected areas and to monitor the situation through local media.
