Zimbabwe: Typhoid

According to local health authorities, more than 200 cases of typhoid have been reported in Harare since October 2011. Typhoid vaccination is recommended for all travelers to Zimbabwe. Extreme food and water precautions are recommended.

    According to the Punjab Province Secretary of Health, approximately 5,000 suspected cases of dengue fever, a significant increase over the average incidence, have been reported primarily in Lahore, Punjab Province, since August 2011. Travelers are advised to practice daytime insect precautions.
