Bahrain: Demonstrations

Demonstrations have been occurring in Bahrain throughout January 2012, with some resulting in violence. Additional demonstrations are possible.

Travelers should avoid large crowds and demonstrations and monitor the situation through local media.

Cases have been reported in N’Djamena, southern areas bordering Central African Republic and Cameroon, and eastern regions including areas bordering Sudan.   • Chikungunya in Ecuador

    There are currently 1,280 cases  of Chikungunya occurring weekly in Ecuador.  Cases of Chikungunya fever are primarily being reported in Esmeraldas, Manabí and Guaya provinces.
